FLOOD: the national government, no definite answer! The damage caused
The outcome of yesterday's meeting in Rome on the measures of the national government on emergency flood Serchio is highly disappointing for the agricultural sector.
The heavy losses suffered by corporations and the territory may not find adequate answers. It is unthinkable not be able to retrieve the necessary resources to repair the damage and allow the resumption of work and production.
Locally we are working hard with the region and with trade associations to build all the necessary actions to the ongoing inventory of the damage and production of practical proposals for rebuilding the infrastructure and cultivability soil. In addition to the activation of all procedures for the recognition of the disaster for the industry, we have worked to achieve and realize the integration of land reclamation in the interventions public emergency exemption from payment of taxes and charges for farmers. In addition, the comparison of financial support measures adopted by the Chamber of Commerce, were also included among those farms that can use immediately to access to credit facilities.
E 'Remember that the power to allocate money for damages from disasters, belongs entirely to the central government. It is unthinkable that the answer could be: "there are no resources." Resources must be found and quickly! Italians are still paying excise duty on petrol to pay off the damages of war in Africa, for the Messina earthquake or other disasters; because the citizens and the territory victims of the events of Christmas should not get an answer? This question must be answered in that government officials these days will visit the affected areas.
the political controversy which, by some parties in recent days has been moved, we are careful not to confuse the necessary research on the reasons the event of responsibilities with the need to stand together in getting the answers due to citizens and businesses damaged.
