The mosque, churches and the secular state
How many people know the City has in mind the construction of a mosque in the city of Genoa. I read not long ago a statement of atheistic and secular groups that sympathize with this statement because we have not speiga need neither churches nor mosques, synagogues, temples, etc ...
We are in the midst of different fronts, on the one hand, the far right and clericofascista who does not want the mosque because according to them the construction of a mosque would lead to Terrorism (!) and undermining the Christian roots of Europe (but nobody remembers that the people from whom we descend were pagans?), from another part of the Curia and the Catholic progressives who want the recognition of places of worship, but most just maybe Afferni in Italy so they want that the Christian religion is a priority? The centers are finally in favor of the mosque but perhaps more as a reaction to the racist right-wing groups, since normally are not religious.
In my opinion, Italy has need for modernity and development, and as we know, religion, all religions are not modernity but the past, when it was made the unification of Italy Cavour had declared "free church free state "or the church and state were two completely separate entities from each other, the same House of Savoy never interfered in the relations between the two entities, but the state Republican is based on a fake secularism, as in schools religion is taught and Christian symbols are displayed. The opposition to the Catholic Church can not therefore lead to take the side of religion Islam, as meddling in the state and any opposition to modernity is by no means least, on the contrary, Iran moving from monarchy to secular religious state is returned as a civil rights back decades, now holds the record for executions in the world .
The only solution in my opinion is that religion remains strictly private, with no obligations as 8 per thousand (but exists in other European countries?) And no public funds for the construction of places of worship, and especially without charges the private lives of citizens, for a truly democratic state.
