Under construction and definition of "food plan" of the province of Pisa - a project that aims to bring good food production, more and more on the tables households of the territory - was born the "Net Search" between teachers and researchers from different faculties of our universities and research areas of Pisa. The network, coordinated by the Laboratory of Rural Studies "Sismondi" provides a space for confrontation, collaboration and multidisciplinary design collective called to promote knowledge about food and its many implications in terms of social, health, environment , and the economic and productive system.

Among the first initiatives of the network is provided for the circulation and exchange of research, the creation of a database of thesis, to give effect to the collaboration through students' work; the construction of a research agenda for food, with shared priorities and requests for investigation, collaboration in the implementation of initiatives and training and dissemination.
